The Leon Valley Public Library offers a variety of services to support the community's educational, informational, and recreational needs. These services aim to enhance the community's access to information, support lifelong learning, and foster a love of reading and discovery. Leon Valley Public Library Cards

Library cards are free for residents and business owners in Leon Valley. Non-residents can obtain a card for $20 per family per year or $10 per year for seniors. Are you a Bexar County or San Antonio resident who wants to use our library? Ask a staff member about TexShare!

How to Get Your Library Card

Library cards are only available when visiting the Leon Valley Public Library. Bring a photo ID and proof of residency. For TexShare accounts, please bring your TexShare card and home library card to get your free account.

Interlibrary Loans (ILL)

Can't find what you're looking for in our collection? Our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service allows you to borrow books, articles, and other materials from libraries across the country. Whether it's a rare book, a specific journal article, or a unique resource, we can help you access it.

How It Works:

Request: Submit an ILL request at the library.
Wait: We'll notify you when your item arrives, typically within a few weeks, or if we cannot find your item.
Pick Up: Collect your item from the Leon Valley Public Library and enjoy!

Convenience: Easy request process and local pickup.
Cost-Effective: We only charge for ILLs if you lose the items.

Internet Access

Stay connected with our free Internet access!

Public Computers: Use our public computers without needing a library card. Simply get a guest pass at the circulation desk. Computers shut down 15 minutes before the library closes.

Wi-Fi (ReadMoreOften): Enjoy free Wi-Fi within the library, extending to the porch and parking lot. Wi-Fi is available before and after hours, and even on days the library is closed.

Notary Services at Leon Valley Public Library

Our library offers basic notary services by appointment. Please note that notaries can refuse services if they are unsure about the documents or circumstances, including but not limited to:

The signer cannot be properly identified.
The signer does not speak the same language as the notary.
The document contains blank spaces or missing pages.
The document does not contain a notarial certificate.
